About Jessica

Jessica Maffetore is the author of Eleanora in Pieces, a women’s fiction novel, released September 2024 from publisher Black Rose Writing. Available on Amazon, Bookshop.org, Barnes&Noble, Books-A-Million and more!

Jessica is a New England based author whose work has appeared in several literary magazines including Poetry Quarterly, Sou’wester, Route 2, OVS, Third Wednesday and Clare Literary Journal. She has also been a guest columnist in the Fitchburg Sentinel & Enterprise.

Her greatest writing honor was having Margaret Atwood once read one of her stories which she graciously called “evocative, chilling and deeply human.”

When she is not writing, Jessica is training to run marathons with her husband, going for walks with her rescue dogs, being tolerated by her teenage kids, growing vegetables in her garden and dreaming about where to travel next.

Jessica attended the University of Hartford for Public Relations and Journalism and holds a Master of Arts degree in English Literature from Fitchburg State University. Jessica lives north of Boston with her husband, three children, the aforementioned rescue dogs and a pair of very opinionated house cats.
